Dear Federation Contacts and Team Captains,
The attached Bulletin contains all information you now require to proceed
with your 2007 IWSF Wakeboard World championships preparations.
The Bulletin contains information about the venue, visas, hotel, transport
and car rental.

Also we have information about car rental and Unofficial Training has been
arranged on the Saturday and Sunday prior to the event. Please read information
carefully and contact me for a booking.
MOST IMPORTANT ALL ENTRY FEES AND TRAINING FEES ARE
TO BE PAID AT RIDER REGISTRATION IN USD CASH ONLY.
Once rider inscription forms are completed I will forward each federation a
list of riders and class break up.The sooner we get information back the sooner
we can forward information to the federations.

IWSF Wakeboard Welcome
This
bulletin contains all booking information for the IWSF Wakeboard World
Championships 2007. I am delighted to advise that we have 22 countries
confirmed and 154 riders entered into this 7th biannual wakeboard
world championships.
We
have been busy securing the site, hotel, transport and car rental. This second
bulletin for the 7th IWSF World Wakeboard Championships
contains all the information you need to enter the World Championships in Doha
Qatar.
We
have confirmed entries from Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, France,
Germany, Great Britain, Hong Kong, Ireland, Korea, Netherlands, Norway, New
Zealand, Italy, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, United
State of America, and United Arab Emirates.
It
is still not too late to encourage independent riders from your country to
enter and be part of such an international event.
The
following information needs to be filled out and sent to the appropriate
authority
The
map below shows the distance that the hotel is from the Diplomatic Club. The
travel time is approximately 30 minutes by car.
There
will be a free shuttle service operating between the hotel and the event site
at regular intervals. It is very sfae and easy to travel in Doha if you decide
to rent a car.

The above rates include:
1. Unlimited
mileage.
2. Maintenance,
which includes servicing at every 5000 kms and repairs of electrical and
mechanical parts, which have been caused by “normal wear and tear” on the
vehicle, will be paid by SELECT TRANSPORTATION SOLUTIONS.
3. Comprehensive
Insurance with Personal Accident covers subject to the terms and conditions of
the Insurance Policy. The Hirer is liable for QR2000/- of claims
resulting from each accident in which the vehicle may be involved and will
be QR4000/- for the total lost If Hirer is at fault.
4. Replacement vehicle will be
provided when the rented vehicle is in for service or repair.
5. Should the lease be terminated
ahead of the scheduled date, and then the hirer is liable for a cancellation
charge at the rate of one quarter of the balance of rental installments payable
from the date of termination to the scheduled date of completion of the
contract period.
6. Payment: should be made monthly in
advance.
7. Validity of Quotation: One week from the date
of issue.
CURRENCY
The
unit of currency is the Qatar Riyal, which is divided into 100 Dirhams.
Currency
is issued by the Qatar Central Bank. Denominations are issued as follows:

Riyals: 1,5,10, 30, 100 and
500 Dirhams: 25 and 50
The
US Dollar is fixed against the Qatar Riyal $1=QR 3.65
DO I NEED A VISA:
YES. Visa can be obtained at the airport at customs desk.
Check with your travel agent.
Visa
are issued directly at the airport in Qatar. Payment with VISA or MASTERCARD
(no American Express) for the following nationalities:

Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Denmark,

others can obtain their visa through the Qatar Marine Sport Federation
mentioning WORLD CUP. They have to send them a copy of the passport by email in

EVENT ENTRY FEES
The
Entry fee per rider is USD $170.00 this includes opening ceremony and
Final night banquet.
For
guests attending who are not riders a cost of dinner fee will be charged TBA.
All
payments must be made in $USD
CASH ONLY
There
will be NO Credit card facilities available for event entries or training, all
payments must be made in cash.
UNOFFICIAL PRACTICE
There
will now be an unofficial practice for 2 days only at a cost of USD $20 per
rider. Each country will be allocated time accordingly to their entries.
Practice
will be Saturday 27th October and Sunday 28th October.
Event
commences Tuesday 30th October. No other practice times will be
granted.
Practice
can be paid for upon arrival.

All
riders must be recognized by their federation. Team and Individual Entries will
be accepted. All riders or teams must fill in an intent to enter form as
attached.
To
be eligible for 2007 and 2008 World Cup you must compete in the IWSF wakeboard
World Championships.

There
will be the following events during the week of the worlds.
The
organizers of the 7th IWSF World Wakeboard Championships look
forward to you there.
In addition to the World
Championships there will be two other events held, the 2nd Annual
Arab Wakeboard Championships and the final stop of the Wakeboard World Cup. The
Wakeboard World Cup will be held on Saturday 3rd November and will
have a cash prize purse of USD $ 60,000.00. This event will be the final stop
for the 2007 series and will highlight the talents of the worlds’ elite riders.
